Requirements for Fusion
- Mutual trust between pokemon and trainer.
- Both pokemon and trainer must be healthy.
- Both the pokemon and trainer must be over a certian fitness threshold.
Restrictions on Fusion
- Fusion causes a strain on the body, so it can only be maintained for so long. Once the trainer's physical state drops below a certian threshold, fusion is canceled. Physical training can extend this time.
- There's only so much power that can go into special moves. Anything not purely physical consumes this power. Consumption varies from move to move. Train the pokemon to increase this maximum.
Grant L. Pearson
Grant was never really one for fame and fortune. Rather, all he really wants is a challenge. A good solid challenge that will make him sweat, strugle, and possibly even beat him. And to do that, he decided to become a pokemon trainer, at the age of twelve.
However, this is where his highly reckless streak began to show. Because he didn't try to befriend any normal pokemon near where he lived in the city. Who wants a pidgeon pokemon?
Not Grant. No, the bastard traveled to a mountain, and searched for one of the harder to befrend and capture pokemon, a Beldum, and a shiny one at that. (they're silver) He realized at the time it would be much harder to befriend an already evolved pokemon, but he wanted to form a special bond with the first of his team.
And that bond did indeed form. As time passed, his Beldum did indeed evolve, first to a Metang, then to the rare and powerful Metagross. But their adventures were far from over. The two shared many years together, before Grant even began to consider another pokemon.
But there was a slight problem. Most of the pokemon in his reigon didn't really catch his interest. So, without hesitation, the young man challenged and defeated every gym leader, moving up to the elite four and defeating them with only his Metagross. Then he moved on to the champion, and the pair once again emerged victorious. However, he didn't accept the title of champion. It wasn't his goal, and he didn't want it anyway.
Now that he knew what he was capable of, he decided it was time to move on. To where? To another region. His first stop was Unova, where he found himself a young axew. A runt, it seemed. However, Grant had found the pokemon he wanted. So again, he claimed the pokemon, and raised it, helping it become the powerful fighter it is now.
So once again, Grant challenged the Elite Four with two pokemon this time, and defeated them relatively easily. Again, he didn't accept the title, and moved on to another reigon. Or rather, the rest of the regions.
He traveled all over the place, defeating opponents and each region's gym leaders and top five trainers. But at this point, it had become routine, and he'd pretty much just done it because he could.
So then he moved on to the final region. The Kalos region. It was there where he aquired the third and fourth members of his team. Fletchling, which eventually became Talonflame, and Clauncher, who became Clawitzer. These two became invaluable for making a balanced team for Grant (not that he needed it) and with them, he can get practically anywhere, and do anything.
It was with this team of four where he, again, defeated Kalos' elite four and champion, and again, denied accepting the title. He was eighteen by this time.
However, despite his lack of interest in fame, a certian scientist, Professor Stym, sought him out, and contacted him about revolutionary new technology that he wanted Grant to test out in the field.
Grant, not seeing any reason not to, accepted. He had no idea what he was getting himself into at the time.
This new technology gave the user the capability to borrow the power of his pokemon. In a much more direct manner than what pokemon rangers do.
This technology takes the form of special clothing and some attachments that allow for the user to take on most traits of the pokemon as weapons, armor, and/or clothing.
So where will Grant's adventures take him next? It may be about time he started a new adventure with another human being. Maybe you want to join him?
