The newest non-offshoot version of the Jet Armor series. Capable of hovering, moving backwards, and even strafing. However, it's still far faster moving forward than any other direction. The weapon is no longer built into the armor, so the wearer of the armor is free to use what he likes. Ross prefers his modular rifle.

The very same armor that Ross used to clear out the Anthill. Armed with a plasma machine gun, missiles, and it's notable mass, this armor uses itself as a weapon just as much as it's guns. Can only travel in one direction: forward. Though it can turn, bank, roll, and yaw much like a jet. Hence it's name.

A Brief Warning
Ross' backstory belies his personality. Should you interact with him, beware. He likes to horse around, roughouse with friends, and he can be quite loud and obnoxious at times. He's also mentally scarred from his experinces in the Anthill. You have been warned.
Other Armor Types

Don't let the heavy appearance of this particular suit fool you. It IS capable of incredible mobility. It can sprint at incredible speeds, and literally leap tall buildings in a single bound thanks to some built-in thrusters. However, it can't fly without an additional attachment. But that doesn't stop it from being the infantry equivalent of a train.

Lighter and much more mass-producible armor, the Harabec Type still isn't something to scoff at. While it isn't as fast as standard 'Jet Armor' horizontally, it's vertical thrust capabilities are unmatched. Very maneuverable and stable, as long as the wearer is always 'heads up'. More suitable for regular infantry, as opposed to the specially trained Mobile Armor Division operatives.
Ross Antwerp
Ross began his military career at a young age for most people, at age sixteen. He was only able to because of some unfortunate circumstances regarding his home life. His parents were violent and abusive, and once they were arrested and removed from his life, he wasn't sure what to do. So he turned to the military for guidance.
And guide him they did indeed. Quickly they discovered his aptitude for the art of combat, and he soon found himself assigned to the Mobile Armor Division. It was a group of soldiers and scientists mostly, who worked on, tested, and used newer technology revolving around powered armor.
He spent most of his days training, as he was too young to actually go out into the field. Ranging from how to fire a gun, to how to repair his powered armor, he trained and learned how to do everything he'd ever need to.
However, once his career began, he became quite the valued soldier for his success rate on the field. So when a new threat was found, he was one of the first picks to go take care of it. So they sent him off, armed with the best armor they had at the time. While it has an official name, it was simply referred to as 'Jet Armor' by the soldiers. Ross was no exception.
However, the mission didn't go as planned. Not at all. While the team did have time to train together, and train they did, it was not enough. This new threat was too much for them.
Wat was this threat? Ants. Giant space ants. What's worse, they were space-faring. They were literally ants that were flying through space in an anthill-like ship. They had made their intentions clear by attacking other ships, cargo, trading, or military, that had stumbled across them. And the military had had enough. So they sent some of their best soldiers.
None of them but Ross returned. All of the squad members were killed in action by the ants, either chomped in half while unawares or torn apart by a group.
But not Ross. Oh no. As soon as he felt the situation had become 'do or die' he had opened up the jets on his armor's back wide, to full burn. And despite what the powered armor he was wearing was designed for, it actually performed exceptionally well in those smooth anthill tunnels. As long as the few lift-fans the armor had were active, he never touched the ground, and 'skated' through the tunnels.
Of course, traveling that fast came with both advantages and disadvantages. Any ants that happened to be in his way were literally smashed as Ross barreled through. Any others, he shot to hell using the onboard plasma machine gun. It was a high-speed slaughterfest, really.
It was a difficult mission. Not because it was inherently dificult, but because it was a fight for survival when you were outmanned a thousand to one. And yet, Somehow Ross pulled it off. Straight to the core of the Anthill-Ship he flew, where he encountered the Queen Ant. For a brief moment. There wasn't much of a fight since he pretty much just flew out of a tunnel like a bullet and punched straight through the thing using his armored body as a missile.
He was later extracted after eventually escaping the anthill, and he was awarded a number of medals for a number of reasons. He was also then appointed to be something of a freelance soldier, where he could go where he wanted and do what he wanted as he pleased, so long as he was within military law.
He remains in such a position to this day, though he seems to have a very negative reacton to ants. It gets worse the larger they are. There have been several sightings of him shooting ants with plasma rifles, shotguns, or grenades. He refuses to see a therapist either.
