Ceres Zekenon Sedomair

Before you begin to read, please take note!
This IS still Ceres.  His strengths and weaknesses, it's all the same.  This particular version, however, is just what he would become if he were in something like the modern world.  Just with... magic and stuff.  So yeah.
Onward!

Ceres is the son of a prestigous magical family of righteous mages.  Or at least, that's what most other people think, even if he looks nothing like them, especially his hair and eyes.

The reality of the situation is, however, that he's adopted.  It's a constant source of curiosity-induced stress on his end.  The young man has always had an inquisitive mind, and since his parents don't seem to have the answers to his questions, namely about where he's from, it drives him to seek out answers whereverhe could.

So he went to school.  Naturally, having the Sedomair name made many schools want him to study in their facilities, which really just annoyed him.  Eventually, however, he buckled down and decided on Leviathan Academy, the toughest magical school in the world.

Why?  Because they taught a mage everything they had to know.  Magic, geography, history, language, magical formulas, algebraic formulas, combat, battle tactics, everything.  Their graduation rate was quite low, but those that did graduate were often the best of the best mages in the world, who went on to become trendsetters and historical figures.

Naturally, such a school was tough, even for Ceres.  But he was just as tough as they were on him.  He absorbed knowledge like a sponge, and he was a fast learner when he came to combat.

However.  He, his teachers, and his peers, soon learned about some special qualities Ceres had.  The first being that he had a very rare defect... he was mana blind.  He was unable to see raw magic.  Feel it, yes he could.  But certain magic spells were completely invisible to him.  For example, magic barriers of most kinds were invisible to him, while a fireball or a light was completely visible.  It was a huge problem for a mage, and it was incredibly rare.  But, it wasn't unheard of.  He could be granted the ability to see magic, albeit temproarily, with special medicines.

But that wasn't all he had.  He also had immense talent for magic, even if his own natural magic was a bit chaotic, and difficult to manage.  But his magic was very adaptable, and there wasn't really anything that was beyond his reach, magically.  He was something of a prodigy, a magical genius with immense ability.

Eventually, Ceres graduated from Leviathan Academy at the top of his class.  But despite the time he'd spent there, he still hadn't leanred what he'd gone there to learn.  He had learned that he was indeed magicially capable, but he didn't learn WHY.  Why did he have such power?

So the young man returned home after he had graduated.  Upon returning, however, he found that his family was out on vacation.  This wasn't surprising.  But there was something else that was.  He soon found a room in the mansion that he didn't remember.  A hidden one, that he would never have found despite his inteligence, had it not been mistakenly left open like it had.  Someone had mucked up.

When he entered the room... he was disghusted by what he saw.  Artifacts of unquestionable ill-intent, as well as several books and notebooks filled with ill content.  It was a place of evil.  And everything in it left not a single doubt in his mind... that the Sedomair family wasn't all they seemed to be.

He'd been living a lie.

So the young man had some new questions he HAD to get answers to.  He set out on his own to find them, with determination in his eyes, fire in his heart, and training having sharpened his body and mind.  And it's here that this silver-haired blue-eyed young man's story truly begins.
