Ceres
Ceres was born a mystery. One day the silver-haired blue-eyed child was at the doorstep to the the best magic academy in the known world, Leviathan Academy. He was still a baby at the time. Who put him there? Who are his parents? Why was he dropped off at Leviathan Academy and not an orphanage? Nobody really knows. Not even he knows.
Well, Ceres has an idea about that last question. Once he was old enough to be taught, which was around six, he was put through training to wield both a sword, and magic, as well as think tactically.
However, neither they, nor Ceres himself were ready for what was brought about once they began to teach him magic. As disciplined as Ceres was, his magic was so immensely powerful that he couldn't always control it properly. There were many times when blue or red energies, or even both, began to go wild. They weren't any particular element, and it always confused mages. They couldnt' study it, it was too destructive and they had to help Ceres call it back.
But they soon encountered another problem in the form of an incredibly rare defect. Ceres was 'mana blind'. He was completely incapable of seeing magic and the magic auras of other things. He couldn't even see his own. For example, he can see the effects of magic, such as the fire of a fireball, but a barrier would be completely invisible to him.
So more training was in order, and more training WAS had. For years Ceres learned magic and trained in every way he could. He honed his mind, his body, his skills, his reflexes, everything. He trained with the best swordsmen around, he learned from the most powerful and brightest mages, and even magical beings out in the wilderness if they let him. But even so, he still had to focus on maintaining control as well.
Eventually, they did manage to make him aware of his own magic, at the least. And once he'd mastered that, everything else fell into place. He was still mana blind, of course, but he could still control his own magic skillfully. He even possesses a few strange abilities as they learned. He could seemingly create golden armor stronger than steel from nowhere, or summon crystaline swords in the same manner. It was likely there was more he could do, but those abilities had yet to be discovered.
When he turned eighteen, he was finally released from the school, to go pursue his own dreams and goals. And pursue them he did. The first thing he did was go and sell everything he had owned. He didn't have much to sell, but he had enough to make a bit of money. Pocket change to some, but he had a baron's worth of magical education backing him to compensate.
So the young man began his quest to find answers that the mages had so long been unable to answer. Who were his parents, who was HE, and why had he been dropped off at Leviathan Academy, of all places? He had to know.
As he traveled, he always lended a helping hand to the people in need in any place he visited, whether they'd posted a notice on the town notice board or not. And as he did, word of his deeds spread. Rumors of a proud but courteous warrior who traveled and helped many began to spread. Some believed in them. Some didn't. Until the young man himself showed up to help. It didn't matter if it was because children were just missing, or because there was a monster threat to the town, he always helped if he was there.
Such is the silver knight's disposition. Maybe you'd like to join him?
